How we work

Previews and versions

Every delivery is published to a private preview you can open on desktop or on your phone. Earlier versions are kept so you can compare what changed.

In short

  • 01The preview is the same code that will go live, not a mockup or an image.
  • 02It opens from your client area, on desktop or on your phone.
  • 03Every version is kept with its date and a note of what changed.
  • 04It is not on the public internet, Google does not index it and it carries a watermark with your name.
01

A mockup is not a website

For years, the usual way to show a website before building it has been an image: a design in a file viewed on a computer screen. The problem is that an image does not behave like a website. You do not know how it looks on your phone, how long it takes to load, how it moves as you scroll or whether the form is comfortable to fill in with your thumb.

That is why at Webmake we do not show mockups: we show the website. Every delivery is published to a private preview that works exactly as it will on your domain. What you approve is what goes live.

How it works

When we publish a new version we let you know by message. From the client area you press "Open preview" and see the site as it will be, with its real animations, forms and navigation.

You can switch between the desktop and mobile view without leaving the area, although the most reliable test is still opening it on your own phone, with your connection and your way of using it.

How to review a preview

Reviewing a website is easier with a goal than by looking around aimlessly. Put yourself in the shoes of someone who does not know you and arrives from Google with a specific need. Do they understand in five seconds what you do? Do they know how to contact you without searching?

Do the review in two passes. In the first, go through the site top to bottom like a customer, without focusing on details. In the second, read the copy calmly and note typos, wrong details or missing things.

Review checklist

  • Open it on your phone over mobile data, not just wifi.
  • Check that phone number, address and opening hours are right.
  • Tap the call and WhatsApp buttons: do they open what they should?
  • Send the contact form with test details.
  • Read every text out loud: typos can be heard.
  • Ask someone you trust to find a specific service without help.
04

Comparing versions

The version picker lists every delivery with its date and a note of what changed. You can go back to an earlier version to compare and return to the latest one in a click.

This is especially useful when you are torn between two options. If you asked for a new home page and preferred the old one, you do not have to describe it from memory: you open it, compare and tell us which you prefer.

05

Preview privacy

The preview is not published on the internet and Google does not index it: it opens through signed links from your area and carries a discreet watermark with your name, so a leaked screenshot can be traced.

Keeping it out of Google matters for another reason: if a half-finished version appeared in results, it would compete with your final site. Keeping it out of search protects your ranking from day one.

06

Approving and launching

When a version convinces you, you approve it from the client area. That is the version we publish on your domain: the same code, without the watermark and open to search engines.

If you need a change after launch, the process is the same: you request it in the area, we prepare it and, when it needs reviewing first, you get a preview again.

07

Common questions

It is the same code. The differences are the domain, the watermark and that search engines do not index it.
